Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne:] or [pa:dUko:nborn 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress that is mostly in Hindi film productions. It is among the actresses with the highest salaries in India Her awards are the three Filmfare Awards. Time magazine named her one of 100 influential people all over the world in 2018. The award also included by Time magazine with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone was the daughter to tennis the champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. At the age of 16, she played badminton in tournaments at national level, but decided to end her professional career to become a fashion model. Padukone soon got offers for film roles and began her acting career in 2006 as the title character of the Kannada film, Aishwarya. Padukone appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan a dual actor for Om Shanti Om, her first Bollywood film that won her the Filmfare Award as Best Female debut.
