Dolly-Parton

Born on Jan. 19 1946 from Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family which would later comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the challenges of life thanks to her expansive and imaginative imagination. Before she was able to write and read, she was creating her own music. Within 8 years she acquired her first guitar. When she was 11 years old She began singing on Knoxville Tenn's radio station. The same year when she began recording her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small label. Although she was at school, she already made a name for herself in the local music scene. The goal for her was to become more well-known. When she graduated from high school in 1964, she immediately made the move to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for female performers for his show that was syndicated at this point. Parton agreed to the position and in the year 1967, she signed with RCA Records in 1968 and began singing for in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. However she left Wagoner's show after 1974 because her solo music, including Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene had begun charting their collaborative efforts. Parton sang I Will Always love You in honor of Wagoner following their split. It reached No. The first time it made it to No. 1 was 1974.
