Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She grew up with 12 other kids. Her vivid imagination helped her escape from the savage realities of daily life. Before she could write and read, she was creating her own music. In the year she turned 8 at the time, she purchased the first electric guitar she owned and started singing at the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. The first album she recorded was during the same year on Gold Band Records, a small independent label. When she was still in highschool she was able to make her mark locally but longed to be on a bigger stage. She relocated to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first track to hit the charts for Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host in the late '60s, was looking for a woman to sing in his show. Parton was appointed in the year 1967 and signed by RCA Records by 1968, becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry. She left Wagoner's show, but in 1974, because her solo albums like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene beat out their collaborative albums. Parton, after the split of their relationship with Wagoner, wrote I Will Always Love You and managed to make it the top spot at No. In 1974, Parton's song I Will Always Be Loved You was a hit at No.
