Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th of 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family which would later include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of life through her vivid and far-ranging imagination. Before she could write and read the first song she ever composed, she was composing herself with her own songs. At the age of 8, she got the first electric guitar she owned and started singing at a Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. She recorded her first album that same year Gold Band Records, a small independent label. She made a name for herself in the local scene while still at high school, but she always dreamed of performing on a bigger stage. After graduating from high school in 1964, she swiftly made the move to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated show on TV was at the time looking for a girl to sing for his program. Parton took the job in 1966. She was then signed to RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. The show ended after 1974 because her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were out-charting their collaborations. Parton, after the split of their partnership with Wagoner was the one to write"I Will Never Love You and made it to the top spot at No. 1 for the first time in 1974.
