Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19 1946 from Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to overcome the difficulties of her life through her vivid and far-ranging imagination. Before she learned to write and read, she began creating her own music. In the year she turned 8 when she bought the first electric guitar she owned and began singing for an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. The first album she recorded was during the same year Gold Band Records, a tiny independent label. Even though she was still in school, she had already made a name for herself on the local scene. However, her goal was to make her name more acknowledged. She relocated to Nashville just after she graduated in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first single to reach the top of the charts on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated TV show host at the time, was in search for a female singer on his show. Parton was offered the gig in 1967 signed with RCA Records in 1968 and became a member of The Grand Ole Opry in 1969. In 1974, she quit at the end of Wagoner's show due to the success of her solo songs like Joshua Coats in Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Following their break-up, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it reached Number. The first time it made it to number 1 was in 1974.
