Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, producer, and singer, is also an actress. An attractive and intelligent actor, she is an inspiration for many Asian actors that want to become famous in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances on popular TV shows, she gained fame as she was a part of the ensemble of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was transferred into roles on the big screen for Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and other films. She then delivered a superlative performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the same period she was playing major roles in other box-office failures which included Rise: Blood Hunter. Following that, she began to play characters that were prominent in animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's role in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen film, failed to bring about the results. Southland an critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that included Liu in regular characters, helped her establish herself. Liu selects her roles with the utmost respect in order to ensure she is not marginalized in a crowded industry. Although she's embraced her roots she has not allowed it to limit her as an artist.
