Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a celebrity who has strayed from the world of country music to pop culture, becoming the pop icon of the future that will endure forever, and sweeping over every corner of the globe. Swift left her country roots like they were a second skin to reveal that she was perhaps the savviest populist singer/songwriter of her generation one that could tap into the current zeitgeist and make it personal and equally impressively do the reverse. Swift's talents were apparent in some of the first songs she released, most notably the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift was able to discover who she is and find audiences across the globe. The album was able to have significant reach not just on the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles on the strength of the Top Ten hits Love Story and Belong with Me Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well in Australia, U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier successes, propelling the singer into superstardom. With her subsequent three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), Swift's popularity grew and she found herself in the world of pop music where it was clear that she was a part of. Even when she scaled back her style with the 2020's stripped-down siblings' folklore and Evermore she continued to be atop of the world of pop, a position that she maintained through re-recordings from her older catalogs as well as Midnights which was her top-charting synthesizer 2022 collection.
